I don't make it here often. With all the social media crap, my website, and the actual completion of the work that I show, I barely have time to myself. So I fit gallery sites in on slow days. So enjoy the huge art dump.

I also have T-shirts available now on my website. I know. Real original. Still, though. Please go check em out. And maybe buy one. If you want. No pressure. Seriously. No pressure. But I may starve if you don't buy one. But still, no pressure.

T-SHIRTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Normally I try to go through and thank each individual for the favorites. During my two years here, at DA this hasn't been difficult. Heh! Normally it's a big surge of about 10 faves for a new piece. However, today I logged on to see over 500 feedback messages. Of course my first thought was there was a glitch. A bug. A gremlin.
I have no idea who to thank, but somebody liked my Skull and Rose piece. And alot of people (to me) must pay attention to what they like. So.....I end up with alot of faves for Skull n Rose.

I don't have time to thank you all individually. I apologize.
But here is a mass thank you to all of you. It's the best I can do.

THANK YOU!!

A little late adding this.
In June I went to the Illustration Academy in Richmond, Va. What a great experience that was. 16 hour days of painting and drawing. Great instructors and a lovely city.
I wish I would have known about it sooo long ago. Would have been great to have all that information when I was younger. Maybe I wouldn't be in the "old man" position I am now.
Being taught picture making by such great instructors as Sterling Hundley, Jon Foster, Doug Chayka, Anita Kunz, C.F. Payne, etc. is mind blowing.
Most of them are instructors at TAD (The Art Department) also.

Go check it out.

Executioner made it into ImagineFX magazine! Ok, so its just in the letters section. It might have had something to do with the reeeeaaally flattering letter I wrote to them, but who cares! It's in print for all the world to see.

Schoolin'

2 min read
I just got done with another rather long day of schoolin'. For those of you that don't know concept.org has great videos to watch. Don't be put off by the name thinkin it only applies to concept art and that's not what you do. Its art instruction. What they teach applies to all art no matter what your specialty or whatever. I watched the streaming video on composition and learned alot. Got about 2 pages worth of notes off of it. Alot more than what I remember getting in college, and I was there for two years. If you are there for the live classes you can ask questions and have Jason Manley (Massive Black, Conceptart.org) answer them right there or if you can't figure out how to dedicate a straight 7-8 hours without interruption then you can get the streaming video while they still host it. I have also watched the color theory class. Thumbs up for that as well. Just go to Conceptart.org and look around in the forums. They also have great tutorials from others that are free in the forums. Hope someone reads this. Just wanted to tell someone and none of my friends are artists. Go figure.
